Good enough is good enough, I thought to myself about my own understanding of the purposes and mechanisms of the Cross of Christ as I leafed through a copy of Denny Weaver’s The Nonviolent Atonement and came face to face with the fact that I’ve probably read well under 1% of what thoughtful people have written on the subject. The fact is, I have a working account, and “of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh” (Ecclesiastes 12:12).
